I have responded a couple of times to your posts on TNZ and chatted with you once or twice about tinkering. But you have a very good reputation. I have a problem that maybe you can help me with. My main server is FV but I have alts I play on Vaz. The other day in South Karana I came across not one but two Pegasus Feathered Cloaks for my alts (I dual box) in like 15 minutes and there were no Mages in the zone and I know none. *blush* As they are a SK and a cleric I have no real need for them. I have heard of MQ (multi-questing?) but know nothing about it and would like to get a fair trade for the cloaks but do not want to bleed people for them. Can you help me or point me to someone that can who can be trusted?

Nerple you have no idea of what you speak, Whiz is a paragon of virtue on TNZ.

Although I would like to know if the questions have changed with the advent of easyport expansions. One of the most common questions on TNZ was "How do I get from Qeynos to Freeport"

Well, I'm not Whizbang... but I can answer your questions.

We have five or six magicians right now. Of these... I think three are epic. Myself, Amicus, and Mustuv. I know that Tawnnie doesn't have it yet, but I think she already has her cloak. Shulzan has asked me about the hard parts of the epic and the Pegasus Cloak is definately a difficult one. Neulail is also of the level to consider epic, but I have no idea how far along he is, and he may need the cloak if he plans to do it. So, if you are seeking to trade, your best bet would probably be with either of those two.

Let it be known that to MQ the Pegasus Cloak for the mage epic, you need to be free for a trip to the Plane of Sky. The Element of Air portion of the quest has to be completed at an NPC near the entrance to the quest room. This means that you'll need to be at least level 46. I am nearly positive there are no faction issues, as I did actually MQ this part for myself with an Iksar Monk.

Shi, could you toss out a ballpark figure on value for the cloak? Obviously, in many cases, the cloak is given in trade for a different item, but I think Lexxi is looking for a guideline to go off of.

Personally, I'd enjoy the cloaks for a little bit while investigating this matter -- ever since the pre-existing cloaks were made part of the mage epic (/rude VI), there's been a real taboo against being an owner of one of the handiest items in the game. (Although there are two higher level items that work the same for your SK, one of them being an earring, so all hope is not lost.)

The folks Shi mentioned are all guild members, so there's an automatic benefit to us, of course, but I know Tawnnie will give you an extremely fair deal if she still needs the cloak. I'm not sure if Neu is working on his epic, being as he's a man of a thousand alts, but the same goes for him (partially because he knows I can nuke him to the moon).

I will enjoy the cloaks for awhile but it is something I really do not need so much. But I know how contriversial it is and even though Vaz is not my primary server I like having a good reputation. *smile* I did not know I had to be 46 to do the MQ with them so I will have them awhile anyways. I really can't give a ballpark figure. They don't have a standard going rate, but at the time when I did this part of the quest for myself, it was offered to me for free, but I gave him 6k. I felt like that was good compensation for the fact that I wouldn't have to spend mindless hours killing in South Karana. I know a couple of other magicians who MQ'd the cloak and paid 4k, and one for 8k (I believe, read that on the VCC).

At any rate, the Pegasus Cloak is one of those item that you end up holding onto for a LONG time. The turn-in for the Peg Cloak is the same turn-in you have to have the Crown of Elemental Mastery for (the dreaded drop from 7th Isle), so for obvious reasons, there is no hurry.
