AVG free antivirus problems with EQ
Symptoms:
Since the patch May 18th, 2005: casting a spell, opening inventory, friendslist, guild list, open or move a bag, all cause the computer to freeze for 1-3 seconds.
Happens on varied operating systems. Defrag, Spyware Removal, Virus Checks, and updating Drivers do not seem to help.
Solution:
If you are using AVG free antivirus, you need to disable document scanning in AVG resident shield settings while playing EQ.
