I was bored this afternoon and I wanted some cookies, so I tweaked this recipe to fit what I had to bake with. The cookies turned out great.

*Note: Only for those who have a bad sweet tooth! These are very, very sweet!

Servings: Depends on how big your balls are. (Heehee, dough balls of course.) I got about 2 dozen out of the batch. I did eat some of the dough though. Laughing

Cookies:

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
(If you don't have baking powder on hand, you can use the baking soda in its place. The only difference is that the cookies come out a little flatter. But a cookie is a cookie!)
1/4 tsp. salt
(I think nuts would be GREAT in these, so add like 3/4 cup finely-chopped nuts if you want them in there too.)

Chocolate Glaze:

2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. baking cocoa
2 tbsp. water
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Cookies:

In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture, blending well. (*Do not get tongue caught in beaters!)
Refrigerate the dough in plastic wrap for about 1 hour.

Pre-heat oven to 325°F. Roll dough into small balls (like when you're making meat balls!) and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7-9 minutes or until no indentation remains when lightly touched. Cool on wire rack. Frost with chocolate glaze.

Chocolate Glaze:

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter; add cocoa and water, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Do not boil! Remove from heat; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, beating with whisk until smooth. Add additional water, (I added about 1/2 cup to get it sauce-like, give or take), until desired consistency. Then have fun and spread that glaze all over the cookies and wait for it to cool (sure, you're really going to sit there and wait for them to cool before eating).

Jenny, get your filthy lil gnome paws off of Emmie's cookies.

WTB a tinkered roll of tape to silence the gnome.

Sometimes I think Jenny just doesn't understand... hehe.

Anyways, thanks Emmie! Will definately have to try that out. If you read about a cooking fire in a house as a direct result of cookies tho... Um... nevermind, i shouldn't break the exhile from the kitchen thing. Razz Sounds quite yums tho!
