Click and be amazed. They're making another one, as if the last 3 weren't bad enough. _________________

I liked the Micheal Keaton one, the rest, throw em away. I'll hold my opinion on this one till I see more previews, Christian Bayle did a good job in Equilibrium, he may do good as batman. |

I didn't care for the first 3 or 4 or whatever they made.
I was hoping someone would come out with a good BatMan movie though.
But the site you linked doesn't show anything that looks to promising. If that Hummer V looking bat thing is the bat mobil I'm sure it will be a totaly lame movie. They need to make a rogue movie where the star stabs mobs in the butt all day. Micheal Keaton could star in that... "I'm the butt stabber" _________________ To stab is devine, to poke is human. |

I'm a huge Batman fan. Batman is my all-time favorite comic character.
I'm going to have to say that I've yet to see a Batman that I really like. Michael Keeton had dibs on being the first, but even he didn't really grasp the Batman I know from the comics. Val Kilmer wasn't really that great, either.
The original Batman movie with Jack Nicholson as The Joker was easily the best one so far. Nicholson made that movie, I can't picture anyone else as The Joker. Batman Returns was a lot worse, but it had good qualities, like Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, and Christopher Walken as Max Shrek. Batman Forever was horrible, with one exception. There is not a soul on this earth who I could picture any better for The Riddler than Jim Carey. Batman & Robin was a complete piece of shit (please, oh please keep George Clooney out of Batman movies).
They're starting all over with Batman Begins. This the main reason it's called "Batman Begins. " They've got a new director, a new screenplay writer, and a host of good actors. This movie isn't really a "please let it die" type of effort. It's an honest effort to redeem hope for Batman fans. If you haven't seen the trailer, it plays on the basis for Batman's character and his fundamental flaws with an Alfred Hitchcock twist.

Yea, I really don't have any fucking clue why they think that Batmobile is cool. I'm not going to let that ruin it for me just yet. |

IMO, every single batman movie they have made has TOTALLY missed the mark. To me, he is grim, almost evil in a sense, and he's angry at the injustices of the world. The kind of super-hero where you can sense that there's a thin thread of morality that barely keeps his wrath in check at times. That is the batman I'd like to see in a movie. No more of this cartoonish crap. Keaton did the only passable job, and even then, only barely.
I don't buy into the "wham, zowie"-Adam West version of Batman, or the "Yeah, I'm a member of the team" Justice League Batman. Bring me the real Dark Knight, and then I'll watch another Batman movie.
I'm really hoping that this one earns an R rating, and is serious in it's action and drama. Something for us adult Batman fans.
(Oh, and the worst job of playing a villian in any move, EVER, goes to Arnold Swartzenneggheregger (or whatever) as Mr. Freeze. What were they thinking!?) _________________

I'm very much looking forward to this Batman film. This will be lengthy telling of his origins based loosely on the Frank Miller series "Batman: Year One" storyline. Christian Bale I think will do a fine job portraying Bruce Wayne (Equillibrium was a great movie, check it out).
The batmobile looks like a Hum-V to suit the storyline. IE. When Bruce first started his crusade as Batman, he relied heavily on Wayne Enterprises assets and gadgetry, which is what this batmobile is. Its a prototype vehicle developed for the military so its not all nice and polished with bat symbols all over. As Batman took over more of Bruce's life all his accessories became more polished and bat-looking.
This storyline also involves Ra's Ah Ghoul who is definitely one of the cooler Batman Villains and is being portrayed by Ken Wannatabe (see "Last Samurai" for his acting skillz)
