Hi,
Last night I had a heck of a time with LD. But I was only playing on one system and my network link on the other systems was fine going out so it wasnt Cox cable (well it was once).
Anyway I found 3 processes running that I do not remember installing. Itunes, Ipod something and something by GEARsoftware. I run XP. Should I find the registry entries and files for these and nuke them or are they suppose to run on this system? |

Hmm, dunno how I missed this. But, here goes!
Start > Run > msconfig
Go to the last tab (Startup tab).
Uncheck the entires from there (if you uncheck something that causes an error, you can rerun msconfig in safe mode to restore it).
Reboot. Processes you unchecked should never show up.
Also, if you have no desire to have ITunes on your PC, you should do this:
Start > Run > appwiz.cpl
Find ITunes in the list and nuke it!
Hope this helps! |

I will have to try that just to see what it does.
I tried the heavy handed approach by going into the registry and wacking it there |
