Formatting is good. I do it once every 6 months as a rule. Glad you're up and running. _________________ Sage Shiloch Venzolmes - Arch Convoker - Walkers

I follow that exact same rule. And it's always necessary! _________________ - Epic stick figure - |

I format about as much. Seems that Windoze develops a general weirdness fault that is additive as it is used. About every 6 months or so, the generall weirdness becomes so great that the only way to fix things is to start with a clean slate.
It's also good to defrag occasionally... but not once a week as some people think makes a big difference. Defrag will make an actual difference if done about 4 times a year. Basically, if you tune your computer every time you change the oil in your car, you're good.
Now if I could just format my car.... _________________ Dantenx Guildseeker

I have been on the same Windows XP installation for 1 and 1/2 years. I am close to buying a new hard drive and reformat. My system still runs just as good as it had when i set it up. I have roughly 35 games installed as well as about 15 or more applications. I do video editng and such on my system as well. It stays running well by regular maintenence. Spyware hunters are a must also reading what windows patches will do to your system is key.
