Hey folks, I know it's been a while since I've posted here, and even longer since I've actually been in game. But I'm still lurking around. Anyway, just thought I'd share something I wrote recently with you all, see what you think. If any of you have read anything about the Tao Te Ching, you might find the sentiments expressed here somewhat familiar. If not, then I hope you just enjoy it for what it is...
We are complete because of what we no longer have...
The emptiness in the jar is what makes it useful
The hole in the hub is what makes the wheel spin
The light is intangible but we know it is there
Because green things grow
Because we know darkness
Because I can see your beautiful face
Because all the things that have been taken from us make us what we are right now
We spend so much energy in trying to regain what we believe was ours to begin with
To return to the state of the uncarved block
Because there are still things we need to know
Because we still feel pain
Because we haven't finished running the race
Because every ounce of sweat,
every drop of blood,
the taking...
is leaving us what we need
