WTF is Delayrun, and why does it show up when I Ctrl-Alt-Del? I suspect that this is what causes me to crash if I start EQ imediately after starting my computer (Windows ME).
It goes away after about 10 minutes after reboot, and then I can log on to EQ without problems. Can I get rid of it somehow? It doesn't show up in any search I run.
If I try to Crtl-Alt-Delete and End Task on it, my system locks and I have to reboort.

Take it out.
Start > Run > Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > RunServices
Select the key that has "Delayrun" and tap your delete key.
Changes to the registry are immediate.
Reboot and viola. If it is not under RunServices, check the others there next to it. Run, RunOnce, etc.
Two more things:
1. Toss the HP computer
2. Toss Windows ME

I'll give that a shot, thanks for the help and I'll let you know if it works. And unfortunately, I'm stuck with what I have for now. HP Pavillions are somehow set up not to allow Windows 2000 to be installed, which right now is the only operating system I have access to.

For this kind of thing I usualy use msconfig to get rid of them.
start>run>msconfig

msconfig went out the window with the NT-based OS's. In the 98/ME scenario, its even been known to cause conflicts when using it to change registry keys. I recommend against using it, especially for editing your startup configuration.
