Anyone have any experience with i Tunes? It was recently released for the Windows platform. With a teen daughter in the house, we've just GOTTA have something to download music or she'll just DIE! LOL _________________ "I might be a little bit loco, but it keeps me from losing my mind."

I heard about it back when they released it for Macs, but I have no hands on experience. I think it's an awesome concept, and something that I've been waiting for for a long time, but unfortunately their selection was fairly lacking and the cost was a tad high. At 99 cents a song that's about how much you'd be paying per song on your average CD, but at slightly lower quality and with no liner notes included. Of course, most CDs are one or two good songs and a bunch of fluff anyway, so it would probably save a lot of money in the long run. I'd say have your daughter check it out and if they have a lot of songs she likes go for it. _________________ RETIRED 65 Lizard Enchanter |

As my primary machine both at work and home is a mac, I use the hell out of itunes. Havent bought much from the itunes store, but from what Ive seen, while tracks are .99 apiece, most full albums are under $10. Selection wasn't the greatest at first, but now that more indy labels are jumping on, it's getting a lot better(hellloo Metropolis). Of course, all the mainstream top40 stuff is available. _________________ --

I refuse to use anything that's Macintosh-related. _________________ Sage Shiloch Venzolmes - Arch Convoker - Walkers

Napster is back! and they are playing by the "rules" set by RIAA and the record industry.
they are an alternative to itunes (mac fanatics), might want to check it out. I think the prices are the same.

OMG, I looooove Metropolis. Nobody can put out a compilation like that do. Not to mention that I love just about every label they have. _________________

evil is as evil does.... wait, that make MS very evil indeed...
and where did you hear that they are owned/backed/sponsored by MS Nerple?
They do however have a very clever and funny flash animation ad for thier blues section of music.

I saw it on an Associated Press article on Yahoo a week or two ago. if you go search CNN.com or one of them you can probably find it.
I downloaded iTunes last night, will check it out tongiht. My co-worker (whom I convinced into buying an iPod) is saying its highly addictive because they link alot bands and songs that other people who downloaded the same music liked, and you will often recgonize those and download them and get more links etc. _________________
