Poetry is the window through which we view another's soul...
Please share!

-----------------------------------------------------------

Perfection Is

Perfection is this feeling,
you and I;
unbridled dreams,
moving driving passions forever.

Perfection is knowing it's right,
just because;
all the little things,
screaming silently time eternal.

Perfection is this passion,
divine gift;
clairvoyant knowledge,
driving home forgotten dreams.

Perfection is us,
together now;
symbiotically linked,
destiny awaits fearing nothing.

Perfection is you,
pure balance;
all I need and want,
glorious beauty always endless.

bada - BUMP!

Mountains soar into the sky
Rivers pour on – bright
The Traveler walks the endless Road
In dawning morning light

Endurance shrouds his booted feet
In Knowledge he is cloaked
His staff is Curiosity
Wooden World wheel’s spoke

Through town, through countryside and wood
He walks with Death and Life
The secret paths are his to take
Touched not by joy or strife

-

Nexus swirling, cold wind blowing
feet upon the ground I stand
orphan in a shadowed land
standing here in forest glade

paths before me stretch, unwinding
weaving here and there through tree and fern
each changed subtly at each twist and turn
spreading out, encircling, binding

here I stand with cold wind blowing
staring at each way my feet could choose
knowing now that if I lose
my way upon one path, can I return?

I move, begin to turn, and shudder
how am I to know this one is true?
I have but me to guide me through
towards the light on yonder side

paths before me stretch, unwinding
near and far, to the same place go
no matter which is chosen, though
journies different, it's they that change the soul

-

Out front door, we'll set out tall
and don't forget your hat!
see forests dark and crystal falls
chance rest in sunny mountain balds
spurred onward by the echoing call
into the wide world Yonder!

When path runs out we travel on
mind the gangplank now!
'Neath whipping sail and silent star
in search of new horizons far
and things both unkown and bizarre
found in the wide world Yonder!

Rain today, sun on the morrow
mayhap a bit of snow
We've waded rivers turgid flow
our food supplies are running low
Such worries matter little though
out in the wide world Yonder!

Merry rest near fire's glow
have a pint or three!
to weary rest from journey long
tell stranger tales to tavern throng
but with the morn we must anon
to see the wide world Yonder!

When you think you've reached perfection
Scroll back up to see
Aelorean has posted his rendition

Then you sense a foul odor
Foging the air around
And notice it's Rocsalt's breath
That has taken a toll on you.
Ode to the breath,
How do you reek
With stench like Day old
Salisbury Steak.

This battle is over
I have beaten you all
With my Staff in one hand
My Breath made you fall.
Stand back up if you dare
I still have green stuff on my lip...
I know you'd like to share
But my smile can make you trip.

It's not acid It's not clay
Logiktue's Wolf's Come out to play
Worry not, this dog is tame
Don't let him near me, foul breath game
Might just make us Lose our feast...
Rocsalt's breath, /sigh, has killed the beast.

In my Eye I see an eye which drives on bleeding flesh,
If I see another corpse my own eye may just bleed
"Aye" said the carpenter, "Your eye's a sight to see"
"Blood on one side and Dark on the other"
I can see me in your eye, Aye I see me well,
But when you close it tightly I ...

Hey it's dark open your eyes
Your blindness fortells the light
Shine again my fervent heaven
For shame has nowhere to hide

Lights on in the morning
Lights on again at night
Another light may show you
Yet another plain sight
Set your vision above you
See that which is below
Trampled fast and lonely
Buried in this snow
Dinner yes it's food for you
Roadkill as it seems
Is easier to hunt these days
Than "EEEK" someone screams
Turn fast the light is gone
Been taken from you today
And since you are afraid of night
No food again, it's sad to say

Suffer your arm to the troll
He'll feed you well from it
Just don't eat the brown stuff
Floating round in it Razz
