30 minute interval LD's

Ok, last Friday a thunderstorm came through and killed our internet service. We didn't realize until the next day that our modem was fried.

Got a new modem. Now when I play, I LD every 30 minutes or so. Kaelwolf suggested I bypass my router and connect my computer directly to the cable box. I did. I played 3 hours, no LD's.

Ok, it's the router! I swap out the router at the store and get another one. Plug it in....still LDing ">

Now the easy fix would be just not to use a router. Well, we have 3 computers in the house. We need a router.

I've called the cable company and our lines test fine. We have a Linksys router and modem if that helps.

Are there any tests I can do to find the problem? Any suggestions? If you have any, please put them in english. I am no hardware geek at all.

I'm assuming its the cable/DSL router from Linksys San?? If it is then the problem may be that it needs to be configured. Shoot me an email at devian@san.rr.com and I'll see if we can get it figured out for ya. Configuring the router can be a pain sometimes.
