Priest of Discord pwned!

He has slain countless newbies, wandered cities where dress-wearing humans are rightly KOS, and generally been a total asshole.

On February 4, 2003, THE WALKERS STRUCK BACK!

JUSTICE WAS SERVED, AND IT TASTED LIKE TERIYAKI CHICKEN!

It began innocently enough. Late night, Kimaru -- a lizard who has never let common sense stop him from smacking an NPC in the back of the head -- said he was bored, and would anyone be down for the raid to end all raids.

That's right: The GFay Priest of Discord had to die.

Many were called, few were chosen. (Seven of us actually showed up, in other words.)

The Priest of Discord may hit like a freight train compared to an old world level 50, but compared to stuff in Tier 2 Planes of Power, he was a little old lady. He resisted even lures much of the time, though, so even in old ladyhood, he needed some debuffing to properly feel gnome power.

And, oh yes, he did feel the gnome power ...

In the end, there could be but one result: ROBES OF DISCORD FOR EVERYONE! (Turns out he repops in about 5 minutes after he goes down.

)

We left GFay, knowing that newbies would be safe for about four more minutes, and our hearts were glad that we'd been able to perform this service for newbiekind.

I haven't seen where the Priest of Discord is on the Tiering system thingamabob, but I'm pretty sure even Fires of Heaven and Afterlife would have trouble with this guy, since they don't have the 1337 combination of insane lizard + gnome power!

Yeah, I'm working my way up to soloing the PoD, too, but he resists even lures commonly. I'm thinking I'll need level 65 for the extra help that will provide on resistances.

lol... I have heard of a Ranger soloing him pre-Luclin by fletching on the fly and bow kiting. He is someone I have been meaning to solo now that I have EQ.

But regardless...Congrats! When you guys hit up the Mayor of Rivervale, I want an invite!

Hurry up and get them Mildane! You will love it! I haven't mellee'd anything (save a walled AoW) since I got EQ. I dont even have any AM yet, but EQ is such a blast. I cant iomagine living without it now.
