I was able to kill Carrais back when he was the leader of Sacred Fires. Was there any question that I could kill a guide as well?

/blush

It started with an innocent petiton: A merchant in Shadow Haven had been pulled by some flounder to the Bazaar zoneline. She wasn't selling and wasn't moving back. Amato asked me to show him where she was supposed to go, and where she was now.

Then, in an apparent effort to keep her inventory intact, instead of killing her to force her to respawn (which is what I expected) ... he trained her through Shadow Haven.

I always thought GMs were non-aggro and wouldn't pick up /assists. Either I was misinformed, or the GMs and guides are hit with the same sorts of bugs we get sometimes, too ...

Sorry, Amato!

I guarantee HE had no trouble getting a GM rez, even though if WE described the above situation ("I tried to train a merchant back to where she belonged and the guards aggro'd and killed me") we would have been laughed at and told where to go.

Interesting...

Recently I had a guide pull WFP vendor Krystin Charcoal back from her trained-to location at the NFP zone line (to buy tradeskill stuff) and the guards nearby just stood there and watched.

If you think that's funny, ask Caniel about his shoes sometime. <img src=">

Amato, senior guide? Or was the change recent? I'm just asking this, because recently there was a wedding in Fate's Clan that I officiated over, and once the ceremony was over, along with half the guild being drunk, Amato showed up. He said a blessing over the new couple, and they asked if he could change the surname (Senior Guides are able to) and he said he couldn't, that it was a job for a Senior Guide.

:eek

Brettan a few months back had announced in all-channel spam that Amato was now a senior guide.
