Yea yea..so I teach music. But ANYWAY, there were some people discussing John Williams' score to Star Wars and I took a few minutes to elaborate on some of the sources of where Williams' stole his music to Star Wars ..hehe

Anyway, I was showing an example of Gustav Mahler's music (which is similar to composer Carl Orff, which is where Duel of the Fates was stolen). Anyway, check out this link if you'd like to hear some of the heavy metal music of the 19th century.

Just start it about 0:49 seconds and CRANK IT UP!

EDIT: oops....this clip is from the end of the 1st part of Mahler's 8th Symphony ..you'll hear (HUGE) choirs, orchestra, children's choir, and organ. (Maybe later I'll share the end of the symphony..if you think you can handle it *Grin*)

That is so cool, Aelorean! I wanted to be a music teacher but got to college to find out that I suck at music. /sigh. But I still love it and I miss it. I loved the feeling of being part of something that can make something so beautiful. Gives me chills when I think about it. It was what I'd wanted to do ever since I started playing my flute in 6th grade... /sigh. Anywho, just wanted to say thank you for teaching music. I'm one of those ppl who think it really does make you a smarter, and better person.

I miss my TUBA!! <img src=">
