Email notifications are bad.

Argh.

Number one reason why you shouldn't use email notifications for threads -- once you leave a private board, you're still gonna get 'em and not be able to turn them off!

I used to get email notifications to all the threads I posted in just in case someone asked me a question about something I said and mostly because I was bored at work and getting those notifications was an excuse to check out message boards.

However, the notification spam was incredible (300+ a day - I used to have 25 EZboards bookmarked). I stopped using them a while back! Every now and then I get a notification for a thread that is ooooold and surprises me.

What's my point? I can see that Herbert's epic thread is active once again. I'm curious if he's any closer to finishing his epic now -- always felt so bad he was on UK time and that made it so much harder for him to get some help! ">

I got them from threads on the Ranger's Glade, including threads I never psoted on (I am still boggled by that) and it was the same way, massive amounts of spam. I had to turn it off, it got annoying quick.
