Everytime i decide to close out the window that comes up when you hit "submit" for a message (before it autoloads whatever page it's set to load) I get spammed with a bazillion pages opening all at once.
You know what happens when this occurs, so you could imagine how i feel :p
I am currently only able to get online with this laptop running Win 2k sp4, MSIE 6.0 or something<=>the latest patch update from MS internet explorer is being used. This being the case, i couldn't tell you if this problem is occuring on my win XP pro machine... because after i got the new MB and Case for it... i get absolutely zero Video signal... so i don't even know if it's properly booting (i don't know anything about the beep codes on a Phoenix Bios) as i get no POST beep(have used Award Bios all my life :p)
ack, starting to go off topic :p you mind looking into this? Thanks. _________________

Check the memory and make sure it is seated properly. I had the same problem of a non-responsive motherboard last time I got a new one, but the memory turned out to be the problem. _________________ Thorvari - Feral Lord

I've had the same video signal problem before, and it also turned out to be the memory chip wasnt in place correctly. I dont know what to say about your other problem though. _________________ - Epic stick figure - |

If they're ads for gnome porn, I know nothing about it, although I think you should help out those nice gnomes by clicking on them and giving them some click-through revenue with the ad agencies. _________________

I have the same questions Tyr does. What do you get in these pop-up windows? I tried about 20 times to duplicate this and I haven't been able to do it on 4 different PC's. Post some more details about your configuration.
Do you use the Internet Connection Firewall?
Go to Tools > Internet Options.
On the Security Tab, what is your security level and zone?
On the Privacy Tab, what is your security setting?
On the Connections Tab, click LAN settings.
Are you using any type of Proxy server?
Obviously, the version of your browser shouldn't be an issue if you've used Windows Update recently. Soon as I can figure out exactly what this is, I'll look into it immediately. If someone else wants to give it a shot or help out, feel free and post your findings here. _________________ Sage Shiloch Venzolmes - Arch Convoker - Walkers

If they're advertisements popping up, then the problem is you have ad-ware running in the background and it needs to be removed. You can get anti-spyware out there which will solve the problem. Some web pages are nasty and will put that on your machine, so when you go to your favorite pages, the ads will pop up. Clever, but evil.

Yep, it happened that time.
It loaded IE in mny many many pages, then Windows interveined and closed IE altogether.
Pages popped up fast I didn't see anything in them, then in HISTORY there is absolutely no record of any sites other than those i visited and the couple adds from Yahoo. _________________

It appears to only happen if i Preview first, which i do often, and then close out the confirmation page that follows a submission before it loads the page it's supposed to load on timer.
This is the only place it has ever happened like this.
Oh, and settings are as follows Shil:
-Internet level Security
-Medium Privacy
-No Proxy _________________

I was able to reproduce it again on that post... this time without it crashing IE.
There were 64 pages loaded.
63 of them were the page you're reading now (the page it would autoload after the timer) and the first page was almost blank with one line that said
No post mode specified
Again... I previewed the message before submitting, Submitted it, then Closed the submit confirmation page after approximately 3 - 5 seconds. That is the point the 64 pages immediately loaded. _________________
