Flying out of the sun!
the smell of toast is in the air!
When there is justice to be done!
The Flying Toasters will be there!

Euotis - I just KNEW you would mention that darned Fishbone tune! lol
Kanwer - A bit of useless trivia for ya - If you recall the Oscar Meyer commercial when the kid is singin that tune while fishing off the pier, you may recognize the grown up version of him in the ballad-warbling voice of Richard Marx. His dad produced that commercial I believe.

As for me, I love all the old schoolhouse rock tunes! =D

Last Train to Clarksville

Take the last train to Clarksville,
And I'll meet you at the station.
You can be be there by four thirty,
'Cause I made your reservation.
Don't be slow, oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!

'Cause I'm leavin' in the morning
And I must see you again
We'll have one more night together
'Til the morning brings my train.
And I must go, oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!
And I don't know if I'm ever coming home.

Take the last train to Clarksville.
I'll be waiting at the station.
We'll have time for coffee flavored kisses
And a bit of conversation.
Oh... Oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!

Take the last train to Clarksville,
Now I must hang up the phone.
I can't hear you in this noisy
Railroad station all alone.
I'm feelin' low. Oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no!
And I don't know if I'm ever coming home.

Take the last train to Clarksville,
Take the last train to Clarksville,

Hrmm... it would have to be... A(backwards B)BA. I love A(backwards B)BA. Oh, the '70s...

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen!

Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a King
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave them burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

I know im not in the guild yet but i thought this was to funny to pass by.. as far as songs that i should be ashamed of there was this song called "god must have spent a little more time on you " by nsync.. my very first girl friend used to make me sing that song to her all the time before we went to sleep.. < i used to sing good > and now i cant get those old boy band songs out my head anymore.. kinda humiliating when a 21 year old soldier is walking through the barracks singing nsync Embarassed o well i guess no one is perfect..

Today this song popped into my head for no apparent reason...
They Might be giants, Flood album, "we want a rock"

Quote:

Where was i? I forgot
The point that I was making
I said if I was smart that I would
Save up for a piece of string
And a rock to wind the string around

Everybody wants a rock
To wind a piece of string around
Everybody wants a rock
To wind a piece of string around

Throw the crib door wide
Let the people crawl inside
Someone in this town
Is trying to burn the playhouse down
They want to stop the ones who want
A rock to wind a string around
But everybody wants a rock
To wind a piece of string around

Throw the crib door wide
Let the people crawl inside
Someone in this town
Is trying to burn the playhouse down
They want to stop the ones who want
A rock to wind a string around
But everybody wants a rock
To wind a piece of string around

If I were a carpenter i’d
Hammer on my piglet, i’d
Collect the seven dollars and i’d
Buy a big prosthetic forehead
And wear it on my real head

Everybody wants prosthetic
Foreheads on their real heads
Everybody wants prosthetic
Foreheads on their real heads

Throw the crib door wide
Let the people crawl inside
Someone in this town
Is trying to burn the playhouse down
They want to stop the ones who want
Prosthetic foreheads on their heads
But everybody wants prosthetic
Foreheads on their real heads

Throw the crib door wide
Let the people crawl inside
Someone in this town
Is trying to burn the foreheads down
They want to stop the ones who want
A rock to wind a string around
But everybody wants a rock
To wind a piece of string around
