I got a new game for Xmas - Vanguard MMO (Saga of Heros). I was in Beta for a while and played shammy...Zerker not ready yet =( Not sure it can replace EQ, but I usually try new games for a few weeks so look me up on Woefeather server if you have the same problem lol.

Otherwise, see you all after this weekend!

The graphics are kewl in Vanguard...especially the Barbarians =P

However, it really feels like EQ2 which I played for about a month. The thing with EQ2 for me was it seemed setup for solo play. In fact, you could solo the whole thing. The group/raid options were there, but it seemed like an after thought. There is a sense of community in EQ1 that is not duplicated in any other games I know of. I also think that gamers had so much fun in EQ1 that they are always searching for that high elsewhere...but never find it so the new games just keep coming.

Personally, being part of Walkers in EQ feels very special. Your gonna have to kick me out to be rid of me Wink

I couldn't agree with you more. My bro-in-law plays EQ2, and he almost exclusively soloes.

I tried WoW for about a month, and I just didn't like that it was almost easier if you did NOT group.

Personally, I don't really have any interest in a new game. I play Civ4 and EQ1. RL keeps me to busy to play more then those.

What is this "RL" you speak of? Is it somehow linked to the myth of "sleep"?

Civ4 is teh awesomes! I've loved the Civ series since the beginning. I also like "The Movies", another of my guilty pleasures when it comes to gaming... but the one I've been drooling over playing for what seems an eternity is "SPORE", which just looks phenomenal. Now if only they'd just release the dang game!

The beta was fun, first mmo I've played in quite a while(other than sitting and clicking a tradeskill interface, or farming level 25 mobs for tradeskills ><) it still didn't grab me much though, not like EQ did. Even recently re-activated my account, almost even loaded grubbie up ... not quite ready for that I think.

Oh, and hello from the RL zone.
