problem with a few programs

here lately, like the past week, windows explorer and internet explorer seem to not open and completely lag out my computer, takes literally 10 minutes to open task manager and then longer to close either of them. anyone have any idea why/how this could happen?

I have been having strange problems with ie personally. opening it up i get lots of c++ runtime errors saying that the program did not terminate properly. Additionally, I can not get to any website that uses SSL, can not do windows update, and can not play some games that use similar means of communication. I am not sure what happened but I am temped to rebuild being as I can not update my Adaware and can not do a lot of what I need on the internet.

Ok is it lag on start up and have you try makeing a new User Account in windows to test if it frees up it spy or tacking ware
