Hailed Emperor Ganak?

i did my seb key when i was in my 40's and he was way red.... from the druid who taught me how seb key quest went i was told one thing was REALLY important.... not to hail the emperor.....

now i just noticed while curiously poking around that he is in fact only level 60..... and am curious..... why was i not supposed to hail him? it seems a common perception if you hail him something horrible will happen.... has anyone hailed him?

hehe dunno but lets try! and if he aggros lets keel him!

"He hits 100-180, slowable, casts various spells out of which all were resisted except a single 1600 HP nuke he landed on the warrior. Has about 32K HP (estimated by pct of HP he lost from nukes). Fight wasn't a challenge, just a bit long. Dropped lvl 59 spell, so I guess he can drop any high-level Kunark spell. No faction hits."

I watched a player Hail him once to get a certain Key ... can't remember which atm. He had worked hard on faction and got his Key! Might have been a Chardok thing I can't remember but FACTION was the key to not getting killed once you hailed him Very Happy

Heck Phinneas, lets just kill him anyway!

You say, 'what is veeshan's peak?'

Emperor Ganak says 'You wish to know of Veeshans Peak?! You are either very brave or very foolish! There is nothing there for the uninvited but a fiery death. I have been away from this plane of existence for a long time yet still I feel the presence of the ancient wurms. I am sure they sense my presence as well, being as I hold the only [key to the chambers] of the Ring of Scale.'

Looks like that faction work perhaps was for VP

I've hailed him way back when. Yeah, he just talked about VP.

I think the "don't hail" thing is just an old wives' tale.

Our out of courtesy.. cause then you'd have to kill him and he might have a long spawn time?

His life was spared to the the request of Lillishiana...and since he was more than a little red...my life was spared as well Razz

he he
Actually Miik and I ended up there, to do my key turn in...and i figured the only way to find out was to hail him. And yup...he speaks about VP.

After helping a certian Druid who is near and dear to me, kill a LOT of tainted monsters....i realize how much of an irritation it can be to find a mob you need having been killed.

oh...and on a completely unrelated note...there is a dragon in WW named Cargalia, she casts gravity flex. I dont like that.
