There's an endless range of 6800's. The high-end Ultra with 256 memory is retailing for just a little over $500, and you won't find a 6800 w/ 256 for much cheaper. You can get lesser versions of it in the $400 range easy.
The 6800 is being produced for both AGP and PCI-E. |

Haven't been able to locate a seller with a 256 PCI-E model, either. That's not saying much right now though, because PCI-E hasn't really caught on yet. Producing $600 video cards that won't sell to anyone but the top 5% computer geeks on Earth just isn't economical. |

As much as I've always been staunchly in support of ATI, I am probably going to try out one of nVidia's newer 6600gt PCI-E cards next time I upgrade.

I just bought a Dell with the 256mb 6800gto PCIX and its incredible, I've set the graphics settings to the highest in EQ2 and have had no problems with lag. _________________ Nizzre Kyorlean

I just got 6800gt but im not getting even over 50fp constantly on WoW... my settings on WoW is set to 120 hz @ 1152x864 or something like that... do i like need a better monitor also for increase on fps? have the latest drivers... played with the video settings in WoW, no luck -- i was expecting 100fps at least.. any ideas what to improve fps? |
