Nuking off into the sunset

Wanted to drop by Walkers on the way out the door and say a quick goodbye to some special friends. I'm not going to try to list them - I'm sure I'd forget some important people and don't want to do that. You know who you are and how much you've meant to me through some rough times, even as far back as running from spiders in Firiona Vie or being chased by ice goblins in Everfrost. Shocked

This seems to be a time of reckoning for me and I'm finally getting a good grip on the RL reins. Part of the reckoning is closing the book on EverQuest. It's time to call it a day.

I'm greatful to all the people in Walkers that shared journey. You will be missed.

One person has to be named. Bon, when you were letting a fragile young wizard hide behind your blade you were helping someone take refuge from RL too. We had some wacky times! You have my most profound thanks. Smile

Hmmm... I wonder if all of my terrific recipies for Gnome will still taste good in EQ2. Perhaps I can get a job as chef at the Whizbang Inn. Maybe we'll all meet there again! Be safe friends, and thanks for an interesting four years. It's been a hell of a lot of fun!

p.s. I went back to Firiona Vie. I put down my spell book. I took out my staff. I walked up to one of those spiders. And I beat the snot out of it. Twisted Evil

You are by far one of my oldest (EQ timewise not RL wise Smile

) and dearest friends that I met in EQ, we have had some great times together and I treasure them all.

Keep in touch please, I know we have been hit or miss lately, mostly because I don't play EQ much myself any longer, but I don't want to lose contact.

As for you hiding behind my blade, I think that goes both ways, I ran while you blew something that was chasing me up, thus saving my plate covered butt and boobs. Razz

All our experiences in EQ were tremendous fun, and I think you for all you have done for me. Good luck my friend, and you will always remain my friend. Live long and prosper.
