I believe the S3 programs are your video driver or at least utilities related to it. You should probably keep them.
Python is a scripting / programming language that may be necessary for some other application or program that you have installed to work. But it's likely you can remove it. Do you remember how it got on there? Do you know if you have any programs that say they require Python to run? _________________ Geadiin ~ 67 Ranger

Hi Lovelyeye,
Do you get sound in your other programs, or is it just EQ that has no sound?
Do you know if your speakers are digital speakers or not? I know that on my speakers, I have to go into the sound control panel that came with the sound card and enable digital sound output or else my speakers don't work. If you are getting sound in your other programs but not EQ, then that would eliminate that possibility.
If you're not getting any sound at all, you may want to make sure your speakers are plugged in to the power and re-check all your connections. I know it sounds silly, but sometimes I wilggle my sound cables loose under the desk.
Also, there is something about a file called sound.txt or eqsound.txt in your Everquest directory. I forget the details, but that file has something to do with turning sound on and off for EQ for troublshooting problems.
I think there are more sound troubleshooting tips at everquestlive.com. _________________ Geadiin ~ 67 Ranger

Love,
I can't say that I can help, but if you give me a call later tonight, I might be able to help you problem-solve some.
