|

Hello!
I am here to humbly plea for some help regarding a member of your family.
Tibberon aka Stibbs aka Tibbs aka Tibberando aka etc etc etc has taken it upon himself to log in to City of Heroes and regale us with stories of World of Warcraft. He tells us of involved quests, rewarding content, and fun encounters. I try to kill him as much as possible in CoH to balance out his karma but I just don't feel it is enough.
So I ask those of you in the Beta to take it upon yourselves to spend 10 minutes a day trying to kill this miscreant. You will find that once you have succeeded the air is fresher and the sky is brighter. This should continue until such time as Murdakin, Pzorpa, and I can, ourselves, log in to WoW and take up the mantle of killing Tibbs in any of his myriad of incarnations.
I thank you for your time and any help you can provide in this most noble of endeavours.
Thank you,
Grymtongue Defthand - EQ
Mr. Oblivious - City of Heroes
(Just poking fun at Tibby, hope to see you all in WoW when it launches, I know you all are in there making the game better day by day, thanks for your efforts!) |

Will take any opportunity I get to kill him.
Granted, I haven't grouped with him yet, but I will, oh yes, I will. _________________

Well we haven't been able to kill off Tibbs since he didn't deem it "important" to get in to the WoW Stress Test. For lack of the inherent amusement of killing Tibbs we took turns killing each other though.
Murdakin, Pzorpa, Oldneil, Shevik, Wabdibus, Aulan(Thohlan), and myself(Grym aka Grymtongue etc) got in to the test and I have to say it is/was fun. I can see a lot of potential...trains to kill Tibb with so I am happy.
Things I have learned from WoW Stress Test:
-WoW didn't like my SATA Raid 0 config (striped drives, yeah it wasn't a -true- RAID) (Had to re-config to mirrored RAID 1 to stop installation corruptions, or it was the fresh install of XP that did it)
-Murdakin and Shevik like to wear dresses
-When a big creature goes running out of his cave after some people, don't think its a good idea to "check his cave out while he is gone"
-Fireball-Fireball-Fireball, worked in Street Fighter it still has application in todays' games
-Murdakin and Pzorpa are closet tradeskill junkies
-Mechanical Squirrels are awesome
-I miss "Faction" (Not Horde / Alliance, but working faction to get to be able to do quests)
-I am a Quest junkie
-Murdakin likes to disrobe down to his gloves, goggles, and briefs and dance dance dance
Hope to see you all in WoW Open Beta when that occurs! |

There is specialized faction that opens/closes quests, but they're not until the 30s. I think, eventually, they'll be at more levels. I wouldn't mind if every race had a faction that you had to kiss up to a little more -- Alliance members would start off able to do MOST dwarven quests, but if they wanted to do stuff relating to the prophecy, they'd need to put in some trogg/Dark Irons killing time, etc.
But there are goblin and pirate factions, as well as a faction with demon worshippers and one for a faction led by Garona, the half-orc assassin. |
