I just got this from Yahoo! Mail:

Yahoo wrote:

Hello Shane,

Thank you for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.

We appreciate your responses to our questionnaire. The information you
have sent us has been updated in our system.

As a final step to the application process, Yahoo! will evaluate and
monitor your submission for a minimum of fourteen days to make sure that
your mailings are delivered to the appropriate Yahoo! Mail folder.
Please note that during this monitoring period, your mailings will go
through our SpamGuard technology, and it is probable that the delivery
of your mailings will oscillate between the Inbox and the Bulk Mail
folder. Once we have completed the monitoring process, we will contact
you for the final results of your application.

Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.

Regards,

Sergio

I don't know if this counts but my private message notices show up in normal mail and not in bulk.

I've always gotten the correct notifications in my inbox with no trouble. They never did go to bulk or anything else. So it's still working fine for me.

I always check my bulk anyway. Sometimes things I want to see go there. Nice thing about bulk is that I can delete them easier. One button dump of the folder after skimming it and seeing that it is all spam.

My PM notifications go to my Bulk mail as well, but I do the same as Julls, I always at least check it before I tell it to dump them.

I'm not quite sure what the deal is with Yahoo. I've been back and forth with them for weeks on getting this problem fixed.

As it stands right now, there are 109 accounts with Yahoo e-mail addresses. Many of these I had to manually activate.

There are advantages to having e-mails from the board. It sends more than just PM notifications. You can't register an account without an e-mail address to activate it. You can get PM notifications, topic watch notifications, e-mails from other board members, and a couple others.

Now that I'm legally responsible for the list of e-mails used on this domain, I've got to make sure (to the best of my ability) that all accounts are registered with working e-mail, that you can actually get e-mail from the board, and that the list of e-mail addresses stays secure. The security part I probably won't have a problem with, but there's quite a few accounts that either don't have e-mail listed at all (from the ezboard import), or have inactive/incorrect e-mail addresses listed. I'm going to have to get all of this cleaned up in case something bad happens. Embarassed

The mail from eqwalkers that is invidually to me go in my main box. However, if an admin were to send a message to everybody registered, that would go in my bulk folder.

I do know that many, many, many times folks have told me that they never got their confirmation e-mail when they register to the board, then find it in their bulk mail. Not sure what's up.
