I work in the civilian PC Tech in a military hospital. I wouldn't have a job very long if I used those excuses on a regular bases. But I will use some of them just to see the look on the faces. LOL 
But they did make for a funny email for a Friday morning!!

not only did the memory fail, it did it over and over so that it didn't fail at failing
