This worked for me last night. Follow the instructions carefully in order or the patcher will overwrite your changes. This was taken from Mages Compendium which copied it from EQLive somewhere.

1. RUN EQ patcher.

2. Stay at the patcher screen and OPEN the EQHOST.TXT with text editor.

3. chaged text inside EQHOST.TXT like this:

{Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.989studios.com:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin3.989studios.com:15900"
"eqlogin3.989studios.com:15901"
"eqlogin3.989studios.com:15902"
"eqlogin3.989studios.com:15903"
}

4. NOW save the file. THEN hit PLAY. Enjoy
