Crater Lake has to be one of the most beautiful sites in the world. My wife and I visited there a couple years ago. Here are a couple picture links of the lake. The color of the water was surreal.

One thing that fascinated me is that the water is so pure in the lake that there isn't enough food to support fish life. Apparently they tried to stock the lake with fish many years ago and nothing could survive because there was nothing for the fish to eat.

I love Crater Lake!!!
It is a nice day trip for a picnic from my home.
Beautiful pics Geadiin!!! The second shows Wizard Island nicely.
It appears to be hidden by the current snow drift in the parking lot on the web cam. In the last 10 years Wizard Island has plumbed steam from geothermal activity!!!

Crater Lake was formed by a Mt Mazama erupting ... Wizards Island is part of the mountains core and by its steaming activity still active in the ring of fire.

Cool info on the asteroid Elyhim.
I love to lay on my back at night in August outside and watch the Perseides meteor shower... will peak on August 12-13 this year with 50 meteors an hour. Rocking light show of nature!!!!!
