What I think is most important for that first night is just a large enough table or group of tables where we can all converse and get to know one another. So if Ellis Island can accomidate that, I'm game. Does their restaurant have that many tables we can all sit together? As for gambling and stuff, we have all weekend to do that, so I'm not worried about that.

I was thinking about meeting sometimes around 7-8pm on Firday night as to not interfere with those going to the Fan Faire functions. I don't have the FF schedule, so those going please let me know if this time interferes with anything pre-scheduled.

Bon Bon, set up that Sushi night after Friday and I'm very down for trying some raw fish. Weeeeee!

I've been avoiding this post because I can't make it Sad Eight pages you can't avoid! I doing this simulation in school where I have to be in town meet with group and stuff on a good note this will be my LAST semester unless they add more crap to the curriculum.

Anywho back to the subject looks like you guys are going to have a blast. Maybe I can go to the next one and show you how evil I can be Twisted Evil I'll bring a bag of veggies so we can throw at River when he starts to sing! Have fun without me although it would have made a great April Fools day joke to say that I'll be there and not show up Very Happy

At 8 pm on Friday night, I would think that it would be pretty much standing room only with a few of you getting some seats but I doubt all of you would be able to get seats let alone have them all next to each other.

That is going to be a tough time to get enough seats for everyone all next to each other anywhere you go I would think.

However, there is a link to the hotel/casino on my last post and you could always call and see if they could reserve something for you.

Japanese sounds pretty good to me. We have a Japanese place here in Fresno that does Teppan Yaki. Awesome watching the food being cooked RIGHT in front of you (yes I AM easily entertained...I'm married to Larn aren't I? Wink) and as long as there is a wide variety of food on the menu for everyone's tastes, we should be okay doing Japanese one night.

Ok, Im still not getting the whole picture here. SOE is offering discounted rates for nights Apr 1-4th. Now does that mean nothing is going on during the day of the 1st , also is nothing going on the 4th? Check out times are normally by noon, if something is going on on the 4th then people will be carting around luggage. So I can assume the actual fanfaire is all day April 2nd and 3rd, then plan to fly out sunday morning. Im trying to put together a trip on hotels.com but I dont want to confirm any reservations without knowing more details.

Thanks,
BC

Blackcastle, normally the 1st (Thursday) would be check in day & then a happy hour type thing at Quark's bar in the hotel that night - TOO MANY PEEPS trust me.

Friday is more registration all day and browsing - the Bazaar is open and the computers are set up if you just can't get enough of EQ and you need to play at the FF Convention Center. You sign up for time slots. They also had a Lords of Everquest tournament that started on Friday and ended on Saturday for some nice prizes (video cards, etc.). They hold a silent auction for the Server banners and the class banners. Friday night they have a meet & greet happy hour type thing which most blow out of as soon as Vannoth stops talking heh.

Saturday is Live Quest (split up in teams and do puzzles given to you by NPC's thoughout the area for doing quests - lots of fun). There are Forums on both Friday & Saturday where the game is discussed. Saturday night is the big dinner.

Sunday, the bazaar/computer areas are still supposed to be open, but my experience has been it's shut down relatively early that morning. But this is if you are actually attending FF. If you're just coming to Vegas for Walkers meet/greet - then we need to decide where to meet & when, etc. You can have a lot of free time outside of the FF activities if you chose to (went to see a Cubbies game while at Chicago FF).

Because Friday is a pretty much "blow-it-off" night, it's probably the best night for Walkers and friends to all get together. Hope this makes it a little clearer.

That being said, any Walkers who are arriving on Thursday & want to hang out let me know (PM or game tell, or here even heh) cause this weekend is more about friends to Neff & I than the EQ FF.

As an fyi, Registration is now open for Fan Faire if you plan on participating in those activities. Go here to register. The more Walkers we have show up in force, the more likely we could win something.... They give prizes for most server attendance and most guild attendance Very Happy

VEGAS HERE WE COME!

We just got our reservations last night, so we will definitely be there! Not going to go to any of the official Fanfare events, but we will be available for any and all Walkers events (read: we enjoy hanging around in bars drinking)!

Same here, I decided against the Fan Faire, because I am only going to hang out with Walkers and other friends that I want to meet. Fan Faire will get in my way. heh heh

WTB Drink and cigar, post haste.
