Things are looking good, I think I'm gonna make it to Vega$!
Now, the bet is will I or will I not be hairless when I get there... _________________ Crymea says, "No tail, no sale."

In reply to Sorgaine asking if there is a Microbrewery.
There is a great little casino called Ellis Island Casino right behind Bally's on Koval (sp). They have a microbrewery where beers are only a dollar if you buy them at the bar, ($1.50 if you order it at the restaurant). You can smoke anywhere in the Casino and if you get hungry they have a steak dinner special for $4.95. You won't find it on the menu but they serve it 24 hours a day. And if you really want to have fun, they have Karioke (sp) there as well but not sure what nights.
P.S. they have a mini craps table run by one guy.
Another good place to eat is the San Remo Casino, they have Prime Rib for $4.95. A reasonable place to stay is at the Stratosphere where rooms are $40 a weekday night and $80 on weekends. Draggin your bags thru the casino is no thx though when u check in or out but rooms were good. Think Circus Circus is about the same price. Both are at the North End of the strip though but so is the Hilton kind of.
Hope this helps. _________________ Jakhamma DaSlamma |

For the non-drinkers and designated drivers Ellis Island also has a microbrew root beer... |

Hmmm...I called last Friday(Feb. 6) and made my reservations at the Vegas Hilton and got the fanfaire rate of 125.00. I just told them I wanted to book a room from April 1-5 for the Sony Online Entertainment Everquest convention. The lady told me that the rate for that convention was 125.00 and I said OK...and booked the room.
I also saw on the Fan Faire forums though that the 500 room block hadn't opened up yet....so maybe I got one of the SOE rep rooms!! LOL.

I have never been to Vegas before...and I hadn't planned on getting a rental car. I figured once I took shuttle or cab to the hotel....everything else would be within walking or cab distance. Is this not the case...should I get a rental car? Maybe cabs aren't safe...LOL. Inputs plz...I dont want to be raped by nasty cab drivers!!
No seriously, I think the Vegas Hilton has shuttles to and from the airport. Is anyone else getting a rental car...seems like you can take the monorail up and down the strip, eh?
