Looks like I will be there and by myself so I can PARTY. And when you say nice clothes, how nice? Like a shirt and tie nice or just a collar?

I hate the idea of having to dress up to go out. It must be a west coast, small town, hick kinda thing Very Happy

Last time there was a meet and greet at the bar near the Star Trek bar. It was outside of this in the casino area in the hilton. I even got my wife to the point of picking out EQ people with a couple before they even spoke.

Looks like the dress code is simple - No baggy jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, or work boots. That seems pretty easy. Does anybody know the cost of general admission in there?

Can't remember if there was a cover charge. No jeans, shirt w/ collar I believe is required. I think the guys had jeans on and bouncer at front said nope you can't come in haha. I dont think you needed a jacket and tie though.

Here were my issues with Gameworks: The bar is in a seperate place and you aren't allowed to take drinks out. So if you want to order a drink, you have to run up to the bar, drink it all there before you can go back and hang out with everybody else. Also, that is the only place you can smoke. So us smokers found ourselves running up to the bar area to suck one down real fast, losing some good quality time with the group.

Personally, I think I'd rather try another bar around town if possible, but won't complain if that's the only place we can meet.

Is there like an Old Chicago or Applebee's type place around town? Maybe some little microbrewery that we can warn ahead of time and they can save some space for 20+ people?

I looked up Studio 54 on line and dress is casual, meaning no jeans and shirt with a collar. I'm ok with that. Now, when do we wanna go there? Saturday night is out unless we go after the Fan Faire dinner.

As for Gameworks, I have heard similiar complaints as Sorgiepoo mentioned. So, I'm up for suggestions.

Swetch or anyone else living in the area, can you maybe take this up and see what you can find for a Friday night? Maybe using Sorgiepoo's suggestions of a microbrewery or something?

Thanks all for your suggestions and thoughts on this!!

Yay,

Looks Like I'm going come hell or high water. Izabel won't be able to make it this year Sad
Like Atom I like the idea of the craps table, at least at some pt. Craps is a very social game Twisted Evil
But I think a Micro Brewery that is kinda of quiet atmosphere where we can all have a drink a smoke and a chill, where one can here the other without need'n a certs because they are crwal'n inside your ear would be grand Twisted Evil
