So I tried to log in the other night ...
Internet connection is fine, but when I tried to run EQ it said I couldn't connect ... patcher wouldn't even load.
Any ideas?
Lemme know if additional info is needed to troubleshoot

You running any sort of firewall or port-forwarding? Sounds like the connection between patcher and host isn't being allowed.

Nope, no firewall or anything. I was able to log in briefly around Christmas using the exact same setup. Just got an opportunity to log in the other night and it just wouldn't let me in. Weirdness. |

I used to have problems with this when I had ZoneAlarm. Do you have that by chance? _________________

Well,
I was running my cpu parallel through my roommates for his connection (no hub). This worked months ago, but doesn't now. After copying my EQ folder to his machine I could log in and play fine, but wondering what would cause it not to work suddenly from my machine though.
Any Ideas?

Through parallel? You mean.. like a Laplink cable using DCC? What the fuck man? The throughput on that has to be ASS.
At the very least, get yourself a couple network cards and a CAT5 crossover. $15/NIC and a $4-5 cable would be a HUGE improvement. _________________ Sage Shiloch Venzolmes - Arch Convoker - Walkers
