Yet another fun reason to use IE. New (is it new?) security hole found and might not be fixable. Not only could they trick the browser into displaying being on a different page than currently being viewed, but now they can make it download a different file than the one you think you are downloading....

Not to mention that the "third-party extentions" IE 6 supports run in the same memory context as the browser. If binded correctly, they can't be stopped via system process while iexplore.exe is running. That's blantantly open to attack by whoever chooses to use it, and I disable it on every system I come across. IE 6 is full of security holes, your best line of defense is to use common sense on the internet. Don't use a wild clicker finger!
