The Dating Game theme is a great song, buy Herb Alpert's greatest hits CD and listen to Whipped Cream, you will notice a resemblance.

And for Larue and Pavel:

Quote:
I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison, and I want to pick her up in the rain. But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck, she got runned over by a damned ole train.

And I'll stay around as long as you will let me, but you don't have to call me darlin, darlin.

And When You're Hot, You're Hot was one of my favorite songs in Junior High. SO NYAH Whiz. heh heh I love this thread.

PS Am listening to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen as I write this, talk about a song that gets jammed in your brain. AWESOME SONG.

I actually got bot the Jerry Reed songs for christmas last year from my Mom in a CD set. A friend of her's had a box of old country music records, and this friend sat down and made 6 CD's of 50's, 60's, and 70's country music for me! A lot of it was not stuff I wanted to listen to regularly on my playlist, but some of it was damn nice. "Seven Spanish Angels" comes to mind. Love that song!

Hehe. How about "Baby's Got Her Bluejeans On", by Mel McDaniel!

The themesong to The Bananna Splits Adventure Hour by the Bananna Splits!

The Banana Splits
Written by Ritchie Adams & Mark Barkan

One banana, two banana, three banana, four
Four bananas make a bunch and so do many more.
Over hill and highway the banana buggies go
Comin' to bring you the Banana Split show
Makin' up a mess of fun, makin' up a mess of fun
Lots of fun for everyone

(CHORUS)
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la

Four banana, three banana, two banana, one
All bananas playin' in the bright warm sun.
Flippin' like a pancake, popping like a cork
Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper an' Snork

(REPEAT CHORUS)

Two banana, four banana, one banana, three
Swingin' like a bunch on monkeys, hangin' from a tree.
Hey there, ev'rybody, won't you come along and see
How much like Banana Splits ev'ryone can be

(REPEAT CHORUS)

Makin up a mess of fun
Makin up a mess of fun
Happiness for ev'ryone
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la

lmao I LOVE that song Talv, and that was my favorite show when I was a kid. The cartoons and Danger Island were lame but the Banana Splits themselves were AWESOME.

Goofy songs that get stuck in your head? Well, uh, anything by Green Day, for the most part. Also, Harvey Danger's "I'm Not Sick, But I'm Not Well" is a tough one to get rid of.

Or christ, how about: Rancid - Time Bomb

Black coat, white shoes, black hat, Cadillac - The boy's a time bomb!

I've repeated those words in my head 3912 times consecutively. Bad.

The song that gets me jumping up and down and dancing like a little girl is "In the Middle" by They Might be Giants. Poor Daca had to hear it on repeat every day on the way to work for like a month because it brightened my morning.

Talv, have you heard the Saturday Morning Cartoons cd that was released about 8-10 years ago? Liz Phair did a great cover of the Banana Splits song for it..

For the Gnomes, Dwarfs, and Halflings in Walkers

Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
To live

They got little hands
Little eyes
They walk around
Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet

Well, i don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
`round here

Randy Newman rocks!

I have Babyhead by Fishbone runnin through my head a lot. Just a damn funny song.

Nougat baby floatin' down
On a cotton candy cloud
Floating by a chocolate baby
Thinkin' bout his creamy center

Don't bite alright don't bite alright
The nougat gets a taste
Ask if it's appropriate slippin'
Through wetness

Nougat wants that goo
Chocolate's paralyzed and can't move
The goo just rushin'
Enjoy chocolate sweet treat

Chocolate needs relief
Chocolate lost his goo you see
Chocolate jumps on the nougat
Tastin' and bitin' on the pillows

Still not satisfied
Enjoy chocolate
Sweet treat lick it quit
Lick it slick wiggin' insanity
