So has any one bin following this new tech stuff ?
It sounds good but say good by to AGP vid cards the new slot will have a higher watt rating so no more extra power hook ups
and the best of all the final slot (16X pci express slot) will have a 5GB pipe line for vid

I love reading the initial specs on this stuff, but my number one concern has always been and always will be stability.

There's no way I'm getting a first edition motherboard with this layout, but I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Its about time they did come out with the new bus, though. Games like Star Wars: Galaxies were developed for equipment that doesn't yet exist, so even on some of the most powerful systems in existence, it can still run like a complete turd. I completely expect EQ2 to use some of the same technology, and I completely plan to have to upgrade everything I have to play EQ2.

I looked all over but failed to find where Asus or Abit were working on this for their next generation chipset, but Intel having an infinately greater amount of money to spend on it will be ahead of the game, naturally.

This new technology does make me wonder how fast the whole thing is going to be with dedicated pipeline to the individual piece of hardware. (HD controller video card so on)
Can you imagine a video card with a 5GB band with to the processor Hmm add the soon to be released Extreme P4 chip by Intel or what ever they decide to call it

The next pc I build I’m going back to SCSI drives I have had my fill of IDE hard drives but will stick to the IDE dvd/cdrom drives
