What UI file is it that makes that ring? On my custom UI (very little custom) I don't get the ring around the rosey thingy.

Here's the fix for the Target Ring.

Make sure 3D Target Ring is ON in the option menu inside the game.

Copy TargetIndicator.ini and TargetIndicator.tga from Default UI to your Custom UI directory(s).

EQ is looking for those files one time only, and that is when it loads your first character. The files must be copied outside of EQ (be camped out to desktop). Using a /loadskin will not bring the rings into action if the files are copied over while in game.

That's a known bug with two possible solutions. Check the front page of EQInterface.com for links to details on both.

In the last patch, if you aren't one of the people hit with the bug, you'll see a circle on the ground highlighting your target.

The arrows thing is just a customized version of that which I thought ranjas would enjoy having instead.

I was able to turn on the ring with the TNL=TRUE (or something like that) in the defaults.

I do have another problem that has came up since the last patch and it now hits both of my systems. When I switch toons on the same account or when I switch accounts EQ is crashing as the character select screen comes up.

Has anyone else seen this?

I use Drakah's stone target indicator. Drakah's UI and accessories pretty much rule the EQ universe /nod

Unfortunately, since I play on a laptop, which uses the nVidia Mobile vidcard, I cannot get the targeting ring to work. Apparently, according to Sony, they are working on support for it, but it is not yet available.

Hooray for "known issues".
