Ouch.. that sucked... just got booted from Vazelle and it showed down on the server selection screen.. you all get the same thing?

Same thing happened to me. I had plans to go to tactics with Elnrik and went LD, couldn't get back in. Then I gave up and took a nap =P

He was worried that the fires took out the building and all toons were LOST - beyond recovery - gone forever - all start over.

ok - I got home and was called into work when I checked and servers were down. I had timer on SolB spawn so it messed me up so I ran over there and beat another cleric by about 5 minutes. I was able to get my hand in done so I didn't lose my 2-3 days of camping the ledge.

Zigs right, remeber the server wide message stating that all EQ guides and such are going home and will not be available for support cause of the fires in San Diego?

Well the fires are real bad now, not sure where SOE and our toons live but it pretty freaken insane in SoCal. I used to live in Escondido which is 30 mins from SD and growing up I have been to Julian up in the hills. Its an old miner town, very cool little quiet touristy now town. I heard last nigth that they pulled the fire fighters from the fire line cause they were exhausted and they had to accept the fact that if things dont change that Julian is gonna burn.

Its all very sad and shocking.

but at least the servers were up last night!

Perhaps it was a side effect from the solar storm that was plowing into Earth recently? I know that it would have taken out probably every server or at least more than just Vazaelle, but it'd be funny if it was. Thankfully it was nothing more than just a little lost exp for most people (either due to death or the more dreaded slight roll back).
