I had to reformat and reinstall everything for the umpteenth time but the last time, which has been repeated, when I attempt to install Soundblaster 5.1 I get a message saying 'Soundblaster blah blah requires 16mb ram and a pentium 133mhz processor and installation will quit now *()&)(*. I easily exceed those specifications and NEVER had a problem installing and reinstalling it beforehand. I've tried several times since then, even switching the order of which hardware to reinstall first, and I continue to get the same message.... any ideas??? _________________ Adalric Brandl - Gimp of Innoruuk |

Hmm. I remember from a long time ago, that there was a problem with the SB installs on certain processors. Are you using the CD that came with the card or are you downloading the software from the net? And what operating system are you using? |

Brak - try going to www.creative.com and downloading a new driver set for your sound card. Sometimes they release faulty driver installations that do faulty hardware detections. You might also be able to get a driver that doesn't even do hardware detection (since you don't really give a fuck if your system meets their "requirements" or not, you're installing the card anyway). _________________ Sage Shiloch Venzolmes - Arch Convoker - Walkers
