last night after Ell's new Cleric had just got her Level 24 spells, we wanted just to check how much the Greater Heal spell healed for...so, i thought no problem, I'll just use one of Herbs lower level nukes and do myself a bit of damage....i KNOW i've done this before, a while ago, but i've definately done it. It didnt work - I got the message you get when another PC casts an offensive spell on you 'blah,blah, but you are protected!'. So, in case i was wrong with having done it before, I tried a DoT, which I did by accident only a few weeks ago whilst trying to get Ell an Elysian Tunic. Again, it didnt work.

I was in the Nexus (i'm not aware of this zone having any kind of protection, like in PoK). Has anyone else noticed this or am i imagining that i could ever do this? Didnt try snaring myself, might try that later...

Nexus is protected as well.

And you definately can (or at least used to be able to) nuke yourself down.

Nexus is non PvP zone.

I use to "get a room" so as not to disturb other players in SH and Dot/Nuke/Heal myself for spell skill increase.

You can definitely still nuke yourself.

I need to find a cleric for this soon, because recently I've had an overpowering urge to Manaburn myself, just for the heck of it ...

What's the cleric for? A warrior would be better for digging a hole for the body.

Horrible image Nerple, I am sure she would prefer you ranjas to die. A ton of androgynous wood elves prancing around like the village people in the leaf effect vest is not really going to turn Tunare on that much I would guess
