Time folks complained that you could get "Quarm quality loot" by putting +40 hp augments into all three slots of LDoN items, so they're making it so you can only put one of those augments in any given item, I think. I also heard they're capping LDoN items at 150 hps, but I didn't see anything about that in the linked article.

Wow, so these +40 HP augments also gave your items +25 to all stats and saves, Time effects, top level foci, Flowing Thought, and right click effects?

Stupid Time whiners.

Actually, 120 HPs to an item does sound a bit overpowered... how hard is it to get these augments?

Not easy. I don't know the status of the drops, or even if they ARE dropped, but if you want to buy them from the LDoN adventure merchants, be prepared to spend 1150 adventure points in the East Commonlands camp for ONE +40hp augmentation.

I'm not sure, but I think ya only get about 50 points max for an adventure, so to slap 120 hp on ONE of the items that has three slots... you'd need 3450 adventure points, or about 70 successes.

At current, about the best item with 3 slots that is Head/Arm/Leg/Chest/Feet (the requirement for Solid Coal of Prowess aug) also costs well over 1000 adventure points, but is in a different theme. It doesn't seem worth it to spend 100 hours (assuming no failures) in LDoN to get something with 120hp and little else.

Doesn't sound better than some of the Time gear to me.

Yeah, they aren't dropped, just bought (the dropped ones are +12 hp/slot 1 on normal, probably around 14 hps on hard). And yeah, you're right, it isn't comparable to Time loot, but the nerf is still gonna happen. Won't bother me since I don't plan on spending billions of hours in LDoN to get +40 hp augments, but whatever.

Honestly, for all the talk of how they're "Time-quality," LDoN items are very thin on on stats. If they have one or two good ones, they have poor or no stats otherwise.

Looking at my Velious (Skyshrine) robe, I'm unlikely to swap it for even the top LDoN one until my gear in all other stats is so good that losing a slew of resists and INT doesn't matter.

I'm much more likely to do selective things, like replacing my embarassing Temple of Cazic-Thule bracer, and eventually my EP one.

But I've got 45,000 points to get for spells first, though. Rolling Eyes

Personally, I think there's huge balance issues beyond whatever "mistakes" they make with "Time-quality" augment slots.
