I tried at least every other golem we did last night in two separate Tak adventures and CoD would give me the "This NPC cannot be charmed."
Not sure how accurate this is, but I can tell from first hand experience that's at least partially incorrect. _________________ Sage Shiloch Venzolmes - Arch Convoker - Walkers

I can confirm that Call of Karana does charm the wolf things in Rujarkian. Some of them are Slave Herders, some are Slave <somethingelse>, both can be charmed.
Also, 90% of the mobs I've run into in Takish-Hiz dungeons are 'summoned' creatures, for those of us who have spells affecting such things.

The Black Rock ones that look like The Va'Dyn from Ahkeva not the genoid looking ones from Valor.
Here's a little tidbit if they can't be rooted they can be charmed.
I've already given more info than I'm allowed! |

I've been having Shiloch's problem too, things I was told could be charmed and I'm still getting that "NPC cannot be charmed" message. Will keep trying tho............ _________________ Mistress Neffretiri DeRamses

Well, I'm also of the opinion that (depending on your group mix), using CoD in a 65ish group for an adventure is moot depending on how ubar you're geared. Just trying to test charm in the dungeons takes a huge toll on my volatile mana pool. I think that it may be a lost cause, and an unnecessary risk when its so usefully spent on crowd control, slowing, and keeping buffs up when they get dispelled. Without the DPS of CoD, my group averages finishing its normal risk adventures with 30 and 40 minutes to spare. I just can't see it going much faster than that with me blowing even more mana. _________________ Sage Shiloch Venzolmes - Arch Convoker - Walkers

Lalalala me again!
My groups are far from normal to the extra dps helps a great deal. The other day I completed a Guk mission with 4 players 65 Pally 65 Ranger Me 65 Shaman (boxed by pally) and my charmed eyeball! and we had 30 mins to spare mana was an issue but I took a mana management course! For example in normal you don't need to use any mez greater than apathy which saves you 75 mana per cast verus bliss and 50 mana verus sleep. Scryer's Trespass is your friend (I have an MQ if anyone needs) I don't have MC or GM and only FT7 |
