OK, more time to talk now...

Ok, so, trip stuff. I stayed with a family who lives in Santiago de Campostela, which is located in Galicia (North western part of Spain). Local culture has Irish as well as Spanish influences, and is highly connected to the ocean (mmm, seafood)

Anywho, oldtown Santiago was simply amazing; the people have a great habit of incorporating rather than destroying old buildings, so the streets and houses make you feel as if you're really in a medieval town. Plus, there's something about lots and lots of narrow, crooked streets that is cool.

Local surroundings were breathtaking as well, from farms to rock strewn mountains that shear off into the sea. Along with all the stone buildings, it makes it feel very earthy and ancient and part of the landscape. There's also lots of culture everywhere, from traveling performers and craftsmen to dances to all kinds of stuff. It's impossible to go anywhere in the big cities without being in range of some sort of music. Bagpipes are popular, which is good because I like them a lot =D

If anyone wants to listen to some music, this site has a link to one of the songs from a CD i bought, by ávalon. Celtic music good Very Happy

More to come, but I need to develop 11 rolls of pictures and somehow get some of them online.
