My buddy somehow has EVERQUEST running on his LINUX box. . .he is also a programmer who makes who the frig knows how much a year. . .But I know that chances are if you can run eq on linux you can run it on Mac but I HATE MACS!! So stick with windows!

I have heard of instances where EQ can run on certain Mac configurations (hello, Tech Support), but the speed is pathetic. You can divide your normal framerate by 10, and you will never quad again. running EQ on linux should be possible without too much fuss. the Windows emulators i've worked with allow you to run windows apps at a very comparable speed to normal windows. these 'emulators' aren't emulators in the traditional sense in that they require you to have an installed copy of windows on the same machine as linux. i have seen unreal tournament run on linux this way
