For me it was a tossup between TOS and the TNG. I nearly like them both equally, but in the end I voted for TNG. Some of the best Star Trek writing ever was put into that series, and I enjoyed more episodes of TNG than I did any other Star Trek.

Well, for me, I grew up with TOS. Remeber it as a little kid, with all my cousins and brothers, it was the thing back then. Well written, way ahead of its time. Scotty inspired me to become an engineer. I remember in the army we used to tune our field radios to CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) and pickup Star Trek episodes. Picture 4 or 5 army guys in full camo huddled in a trench listening to Star Trek ">

TNG, I agree, had some very well written plots and storylines. I also liked the characters and Picard. I hated the first year, rehashing some old TOS shows, but it got a lot better. Troi never looked good in those tight pants, though.

DS9, yuck, never liked it, never got into it much, though I liked Quark "> I really thought it sucked when they demoted O'Brien. I like continuity, and they lost me there (I liked the O'Brien char in TNG). Overall I didn't like the show much, too much politics.

Voyageur, I liked Kim and Paris, chemistry was good with the crew. Plots, well, I thought they were vastly inferior to TNG. But I thought Janeway did OK, someone should have shot Chakotay and Tuvak, wimpy looking Vulcan!! You could never convince me that Chakotay was a rebel, Tuvak a spy, and how many spies did he have in his old crew? Honestly Janeway, you want him as t your First Officer??? Tes, pretty barbie doll, but not much else, and Seven, the token Spock, need one in every series I guess. Loved the doctor, though, he was the best thing out of that show ">

Enterprise, you know, I really like this show. Didn't think Quantum whiner Bakula could pull it off, but wow, he's doing very well. Plots are typically well done. And Trip!! Never thought they could find another Scotty, Jordi was close, but Trip is the best, IMHO. Course Merryweather needs to develop, along with wooden Reed. Not sure how I feel about the token Spock vulcan, I think she will develop, but please loose the wig !! Doctor is really hilarious. Again, he's no hologram doctor or Mckoy, but he's getting there. I am really impressed so far. Hope they keep it up, I chose this one ">

DS9 is my pick here...although once Enterprise gets about 3 or 4 seasons under its belt, it may replace it.

And Voyager was simply a mistake that should never have made it to television.

My favourite, by far, is TNG and a close second for me was Voyager.

I didn't grow up watching TOS, wasn't something that my parents were into back then. Didn't actually see TOS till I was at tech school in Mississippi and liked it instantly.

TNG, I watched religiously from the first season, although I didn't like the interaction among the crew in the first season since they were still trying to figure each other out. I loved Q from the beginning; he's such an ass, you just gotta love him and Jordi was just too cool. "> My favourite character for TNG was/is Beverly, strong female character that knows how to get her point across....politely (I know what you're thinking so shut up Larn! )

Never really got into DS9, although Quark was the comic relief for it and made it worth watching just to see what he was going to do. ">

I liked Voyager a lot, Kim, Paris, and the doctor were great. Chakotay and Tuvak, wasn't quite sure what to think of them, they were just okay IMHO. I liked Seven though and Katherine, half the time I liked her and the other half the time, I just wanted to smack her one.

Enterprise I really haven't had time to watch due to work but the episodes that I have seen, I have really liked. I'm impressed with Bakula's performance as captain.

My dad MADE us sit down and watch TOS. He and my brothers watched the originally aired episodes, while (not arriving until 1973) I saw the syndicated repeats over and over. I could do the vulcan hand greeting on both hands by the time I was 4. I love the series (only 3 seasons, wow), and I'll never ignore TOS completely. However, it was not difficult for me to put it second behind TNG.

TNG started in grade seven, and with its launch, my journey to "class geek" was also catapulted forward. I wasn't alone, and soon there were a flock of lil star trek freaks running around the halls, each with a name, rank, and serial number. Okay, well, not exactly THAT geeky.. but anyway, being an open fan of the show did carry somewhat of a stigma attached to it.

In the years that followed, I attended any conventions that came to town (HEY! It wasn't like I was running around in a costume!!! -- oh wait, well, I did wear a first season TNG uniform to 2 of them, only 2 and a half pips though). I saw Picard, Riker, Kirk, Spock and Scotty. Picard was unreal live: heck, I coulda listened to him reciting the phone book. Scotty was cool because he actually did the "line-up-and-sign-autographs" thing, something none of the others I saw did.

Nemesis opens in about 3 weeks here in Japan. I have heard mixed reviews, but in all likihood, I'll love it just as much as any of the others.

In Japan, Enterprise has hit the satellite waves and I am about 3/4 of the way through the first season. SO FAR SO GOOD! I am enjoying the episodes, and I like how they can play off of our knowledge of what's to come. I think its hilarious how they are terrified of transporters. Even after only 18 episodes, I think this sucker takes 3rd place. I was a Scott Bakula fan during Quantum Leap, and I think he makes a good Starship Captain. THE only VERY STRONG criticism of the show -- WTF is the title song all about!? That POS haunts me to no end, days after I watch the show. Did some fan win a contest to make the opening theme or what? Oh god its bad...">

Overall it might not have been the best; however, the award for some of the SINGLE best episodes goes to Voyager. There have been times where the episode ended and I was like "wow!"... Janeway, the Doctor, and hmm...well, those two are amazing in that show ">
