How do you feel about d00d speak?

Things like BRB, AFK, LOL, ROFL, STFU, JK Are all fine to me..I have no problems with people making abbreviations to words unless your asking for a favor.. then have the courtesy to spell it out, and "TY" is my biggest pet peave, why bother say it at all? I know when u say TY you dont mean it anyways.. So you wont be hearing a "YW" from me..
"Clearly" is another thing I dont like.. They made a perfectly good word into a D00d word.. coming from the "clearly this is a monk Item.." craze..
"stfu" I dont mind cuz its just a joke usually.. of course if someone took the time to spell it out.. "shut the fuck up".. May not sound like a joke....so in this case.. the abbreviation is welcomed=)
I am guilty of saying "<insert item or person here> is THX" ... Although I wish i could purge that saying from my system.. It really doesnt even make sense grammar wise.. Anyone whos not a EQ player would wonder wtf they were talking about..

"KK" is the worst.. So many people say KK now that everytime I see it I cringe.. I say Kewl a lot.. but thats pre-EQ and somethin I have said for a while=/

The way I figure it..If you say it outloud and it sounds stupid like KK would.. Why would you type it? obviously saying LOL would sound weird, but in that case you would actually be laughing=)) LOL!

either use it or dont. there cannot be occasions where its ok for someone to talk to you with d00d speak, and some when its not. there also cannot be some phrases its ok to say and some that it isnt. I have seen people in this guild complain about d00dspeak on these boards and then use it in game.

so unless you dont use *ANY* (and that includes thx, kk, kewl, plz etc, etc) you have no right to complain.

abbreviations (sow, wtf, stfu) on the other hand are very different. and i still dont know what half of them i hear are for ">

I propose we throw off the linguistic torture of d00dsp33k and instead all adopt WalkerSpeak. I believe we can be more succinct than we are currently. Below are some examples to help you along:

Ex. 1) phat lewt!

becomes:

bulky swag!

Ex. 2) That zone is so /zzzz OR /yawn

becomes:

that zone is so /elyhim.

Ex. 3) Kekekeke!

becomes:

I reciprocate and exceed your enthusiasm regarding this issue

This is an old post but I must reply

I can NOT do with any of it, it's bad enough rap music has set us back a few rungs on the evolutionary ladder, now "dood" speaks is here to set us back a long ways on the langauge ladder. Each time I see something to the effect of
"phat uber drood lfg pst asap ps xyzpdq" makes me want to reach through the screen, grab them by the throat and cut off the oxygen to whats left of the brain. I also do not care to group with "ranja's" what is that? a ranger/ninja cross breed? I suppose its a matter of time before I see a "chanta" "monka" hell, maybe even a "frooglok" (Yes I am ranting ) and of course "wizzy" what is that, a midget that gets off on peeing on everything? Mage is acceptable, so I will leave that one alone. And Zerker....what, are we too lazy to add a couple extra letters??? Take a couple extra seconds out of your life to COMPLETE the word!!! So, dood, you do NOT "own" you are NOT that "uber" wtf what ever ty for listening to my rant kk hmmm yeah i will stfu now.
