I use ZWFUCR (Zeremus Windows Finally Updated Crayola Release) as my UI. It's pretty nice, and even features a target window that changes color as your target's health moves down (or up). I think it has a lot of mix and match - I'm 99 percent positive the spell box is t.king - but it does have one of the most compact buff bars that I've used. Here's a pic, at 1024x768:

Malkar what is your's called I like that one best so far. . .I will put up what I use, when I return home, I like how mine is across the bottom like Malkar's is. Only downside is my spell bar is TINY!

There's a ss of mine in Brieah's "SS's of Grieg" thread. Beware mine is a mongrel, though. It has about 15 mix and match pieces that I found (mostly at EQInterface) and patched together.

Hey spazz,

I looked and cant find my ui anymore, but here's what I'm gonna do for you...I still have the zip file on my hard drive so I'm going to host it for people to download...when you unzip it into your ui folder you make you'll notice there is a file name "UI_DRAKAH_74"...rename that to "UI_(insert char name here)_63(63 for vaz i dunno what the other server numbers are)"...take that renamed file and drop it into your eq folder...you'll need to to copy/paste it and make a file for each of your characters you want to use that ui with...also need to run at 1280x1024...hope you enjoy it...

I have tired a 3 or 4 times to get a UI on my screen esp one thats show exp by % due to me being colored blind its really hard for me to tell when i level, Could anyone please explain to me how to use one and how to install i im not real computer savy for some reason on this and id like to really use one, would help me alot. THanks">

Here's a basic plot

Step 1: Make a folder in your UI folder in your EQ folder and call it whatever you want. "Custom" or something as simple works well.

Step 2: Find a UI want. EQinterface.com is a good source although a bit frustrating to navigate as its half on their forums.

Step 3: Download the UI. Usually in .ZIP form. So make sure you have an extractror. i think Windows ME and above comes with one.

Step 4: Unzip the UI files and place them in your custom folder.

Step 5: Load EQ and type in /loadskin "folder name" 1

Step 6: Re-position the windows and change the background/textures/fading to your preference.

Note: Only put in new files in your own directory. Anyfiles that are missing (esp if you are doing a patch work UI and not a complete set) is taken from the default folder (Dont mess with the default folder) and the files in defualt update whenever a patch has a new version.

hey slam,

if you want a ui with % download the one i have hosted..

once you download it right click the zipped file and click "extract all"

it'll then ask where you want to extract it...you'll want to put it in the uifiles folder of your everquest folder..

once it's extracted to there goto the folder and look for a file named "UI_drakah_74" change that to "UI_your char name_63" You can change it be right clicking the file and clicking "rename"

now copy and paste the renamed file into your everquest folder, you'll need to make a file like that for each char you want to use this ui with...

Before logging into EQ change your screen resolution in windows to 1280x1024 or else the ui will look all messed up.

Once all that is dont the ui will load the next time you log your char into eq...

I am working adding the parts I like and modifying the parts I don't. I hated that I had an Inventory window that didn't show my level so I found one that did. You can also see that all the health meters show a percentage like Slammer wanted. . .also exp is in %. I am still making changes and will share them as I go. Thanks for everyone's input so far!
