Need help! Trying to get my custom pic to custom dimensions again but it's not working.

If I type in just the url, the pic will show up, at the 60 by 60 dimensions. If I type in the url + height=xxx width=xxx, the picture will not show up all together and ezboard deletes the url from the entry box, like it won't recognize it. Have tried playing with it in various forms but it's not working. /cry

^^ the image I want.

Make sure you're not using quotation marks or anything.

I have no idea what to say to this. It's possible you're bugged. My account is bugged that I cannot do admin commands as Leopa such as I just can't do things like ban people and so on. Had to authorize Pedi to do that. Whiz said something like he can't have admin commands at work, but can do it at home and that it's a known bug. I'll ask him about this when he gets home.

Is it just me or does my sig take forever to load? Anything I can do to fix that?

It takes a little while. That's most likely Strike 9's fault. You could, of course, resize it so that it isn't as big, which would make it load faster. Or, you could get a new host, which aren't always great. :\

Testing my newest signature. Looks like the sig works, but how do I make a sig under my name?

When you make a sig, can you get in any sort of trouble from using copyrighted or trademarked material? Or do you just look un-original?

Yes, you can get in trouble for using copyrighted materials.

http://aimee.wyvernweb.com/copyright/rules.html

In regards to using EQ copyrighted materials (screenshots and so forth), here is their stance on this (from terms of service):

# SOE hereby grants to each EverQuest account subscriber that is in good standing and with the grant automatically revoked as of the moment that the subscriber's account is no longer in good standing (an "EQ Subscriber"), a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, nonassignable and fully revocable license to use (a) the EverQuest name, and (b) trademarks and copyrighted material from EverQuest including NPC names and images, diety and monster names and images, geographical names, item names and images, character names and images, background art, and screenshots containing any of the foregoing (collectively, "the SOE Property"), solely to be used for material (for example, so-called "fan fiction" and "fan artwork") that the EQ Subscriber posts to and/or transmits through SOE's Communication Features ("Licensed Content") in accordance with these Terms of Service -- and for no other use. Each EQ Subscriber promises SOE that any Licensed Content that he or she provides shall comply in all respects with these Terms of Service.

You are better off using images from "free sites" or asking for permission from the photographer/artist.

What actually makes you look unoriginal is if you use someone else's work and don't credit your sources.

Now ... since you have been warned of all of the legal mumbo-jumbo, this is my non-legal opinion -- I don't think it is a big deal if you use copyrighted materials (depending on what it is) because 1) you're not making money off of it and 2) it's not a big enough deal for people to go after you. Of course, this attitude isn't a good one because it encourages people to use other people's work.
