I remember when you offered me a symbol before I went through with this. I'm thinking ... "I don't think any amount of buffing is gonna help me!"
Oh, yes, I was cracking up the whole time. That was the best time I've had in EQ!
I was just thinking that I'm sorry I didn't attack Tunare. Apparently, I read somewhere that three people checked out PoG (druid, paladin, and ranger) and the paladin wondered what would happen if he attacked Tunare. So he goes ahead and hits her. Somehow the ranger got wiped out (I'm fuzzy on details) in the process, but the druid said that the ENTIRE PoG zone ran to Tunare's aid. (I was thinking that since we were trying to find the flower the other night, that we should have just hit Tunare and get it to come to the doorstop. ) Apparently the druid said the zone was on "alert" for like 15 minutes after that. When the druid tried to drag their bodies in that duration, he got killed. Should have waited until everyone calmed down and went back to their stations.

Mebbe I'll do that next time! |

It is true that if someone aggros Tunare, the whole zone comes to her aid. This happened about 5 minutes before one of my PoG raids not too long ago when our "scout" decided to go take a screenshot of the evil woman herself. Suffice it to say, he hit auto-attack instead and it lead to one of the worst raids in history. All of the mobs were in areas they weren't supposed to be and it ended up being three big corpse recoveries. Everyone on the raid had at least one unrezzable corpse when it was all said and done. As for the 15 minute thing, 5 hours later, the mobs were still all over. I believe a GM ended up resetting the zone.
I haven't raided with that "scout" since "> . 54 Necromancer Content With Her Class Vita Infinita |

There's a very funny story about a necromancer wondering if his harmshield (similiar to a cleric's divine aura) would protect him from insane amounts of damage. The link is provided if you're interested in checking out what he did:
www.necrognomicon.com/harmshield1.html
I'm now wondering if I can duplicate the same results by finding a cleric (or PLing my own) who would be willing to cast divine aura and ask that very same question.

Harmshield/Divine Aura will protect you from any damage EXCEPT death touches =P |

Apparently it doesn't protect you from falling damage. |

Seems like this could be a nifty way of getting deep in the hole pretty quickly, if it stays in effect after you zone. |

I'm not sure I'm in that big of a hurry to see Master Yael. Especially solo.

Good will always defeat evil, right shall smite wrong. Take on the Plane of Growth at your own peril. The Mother will always have her defenders and shame on Leopa for being so greedy, guess she got what she deserved.. hehe.

Gawd, this post is ooooold!
Heh, I had heard about the death touch for asking for phat lewt so I tagged along with Caniel, Whizbang, Ely, and Kael, and Rudee (?) on one of their first trips to PoG (just to run around and look). I made them back up because I wasn't sure if there was gonna be an AoE or something -- didn't want to get 'em killed on my account! |
