Okay, not to spam the General section, but I found this and it has made me lose alot of sleep lately.
Here is a link to a game called Dungeons of Daggorath. It has been ported to Windows from the original TRS-80 version. This is THE FIRST computer game I ever played and I never beat it (I never knew you could save it either "> ). Hopefully the Wizard will die tonight!!
Anyone else have any gaming classic links to games that they used to play "back in the day"?? Download this one and give it a chance....and no cheating by editing the source-code SHILOCH!
Dungeons of Daggorath
The Directions (its tricky at first)

Raaka-Tu for the TRS-80. It was one of those text adventures, and could never get through it all either. |

First games i played were on the Atari and Texas Instrument systems. Hunt the Wampus, Jungle Hunt, Pole Position, Asteroids, Centipede, Qix, and Rampage on my friends Commodore 64 all come to mind. I dont remember what games i played first. Mildane _________________ - Epic stick figure - |

Remember being about 8 or 10 years old (late 70s) and having the Atari 2600 with Pong and a few other games.

Our first rpg was Tunnels of Doom that you had to hook up a tape player to the TI and play to load the game.. it was not savable. The flip side of the tape was Pennies for Prizes or soemthing.. more my speed because i was so young. We thought the game (Tunnels of Doom) was the BEST and played it for hours and hours.. my brother "Celedon" found a copy of it for the pc.. played it for five minutes and just laughed over how things have changed. Larry rocked! So did the other similar series Kingdom Quest (the early ones). I remember playing those on a monochrome monitor and a Tandy 1000 computer.
What a geek girl I am....hehe

First RPG...Adventure (text only). Played this on a workstation in a professor's office in 1980 or so. He let us in on weekend nights, and armed with a cooler of beer and a mountain of paper to map our way we would play until the janitor kicked us out at 7AM. Fee Fi Fo Foo !!!
Also vaguely remember Mansion from that time.
Moved on to ZORK (when it was still text). To me the Zork series is still the best ever. The hours and hours we played could rival EQ time spent (well, almost). I even picked up a Palm version of Zork 1, 2, and 3. Great for long flights, boring meetings, etc...

First electronic RPG was "Bard's Tale" for the original Nintendo system. First video games I recall are Super Breakout, Air Combat, and Pole Position for the Atari 2400. _________________
